In 2020, in response to the Coronavirus Pandemic, Portree and Braes Community  (PBCT) established the Skye Community Response project - an initiative set up to provide immediate, Skye-wide, support and advice to those affected by the pandemic.

Now, three years on, the crisis has eased however PBCT believes that the resources, community networks and experience gained during the lifetime of this project can play a role in supporting future emergency responses. In order to secure this legacy PBCT have been advised that a new voluntary group should be established which can hold funds, operate independently of PBCT and represent the whole island.

If you are interested in finding out more or being involved in the future of Skye Community Response please attend the online foundation meeting on Wednesday the 18th of January at 7pm. The agenda is below and all are welcome. Please email fiona@portreeandbraes.org with a request for the zoom link. Thank you.
